Buenos Aires cont'd

The rest of our time in Buenos Aires we just spent relaxing, doing a bit more shopping and sightseeing. Another area worth going to is La Boca - the most colourful barrio in Buenos Aires, originally set up by Italian immigrants. Brightly painted houses of the Caminito pedestrian walkway. There are lots of artists selling their wares and peolpe demonstrating the Tango.

Ed and I decided to give the mate a try. Not quite to our taste - Ed said it tasted like sucking hot water through a bail of hay!

For our last night in town we went out to dinner in one of the restaurants in the business district close to the hotel. Absolutely superb. Once again proving that the locals know how to eat and you should avoid the tourist district. A great starter of parma style ham, beautiful steak (obviously), mashed potatoe, mixed salad, a bottle of wine and coffees and a waiter just to look after our table. Total cost US$15 for the two of us.
